Tunic Dress
Inspired by traditional garments like huipiles and kaftans, the mini tunic is made of mainly of geometric shapes: squares and triangles that have been draped into subtly sensual forms that skim the body. A great piece for fall on its own or for layering in the colder winter months.
This Tunic Dress is the last of its kind. Only one size remains!

Made in the USA
This body of this dress is made of a custom merino wool & cotton striped twill, designed and woven in Chicago by The Weaving Mill, based on drawings by artist Nuria Montiel. After coming off the loom, each fabric is felted slightly to create a textural play between the merino wool and the more stable cotton. The result is a soft, warm, but lightweight cloth reminiscent of cashmere. The sides of the tunic are made of a sumptuous 4-ply black silk crepe woven in Korea.
All pieces are cut in our Chicago workshop and sewn by stitchers whom we employ directly (without the use of contractors or piecework), using a slow fashion model of manufacture, wherein workers are paid a living wage. Our pieces are made one-by-one, and can be customized to your measures and preferences.
