PM Trunk Show at Salvage Cloth in NYC!
We're excited to be back in NYC to pop-up with Salvage Cloth. We'll be in our usual spot in the East Village at 434 E. 9th St. Saturday & Sunday, September 27 & 28, 12-7 pm.

Mending Rips, Splits, and Tears: Learning the Whip Stitch, Parachute Stitch, and Ladder Stitch
Lucy Leith, designer and Production Mode’s mending expert will lead a small group (10 ppl max) through 3 specific stitches for mending rips, splits, and tears in fabric.
Lucy will provide a demo, physical examples and diagrams to follow along, and guidance while you repair your own garments.
This workshop is intended to be fun and relaxing. It’s an ideal workshop for sewists who know how to thread a needle, but total beginners are always welcome. Come out for an enjoyable evening while learning new mending techniques.

Darning Workshop Led by LucyDreamsOf
Join us for a leisurely night of mending at Production Mode!
Lucy Leith, designer and Production Mode’s mending expert will lead a small group (10 ppl max) through the basics of darning.
What is darning?
Darning is the act of repairing a torn or worn out piece of cloth by hand, weaving new threads into the old. It is a surprisingly simple mending technique that works great for small holes, like in worn out socks, chunkier knits, jeans, and moth-eaten sweaters, without the need for additional fabric patches.
Lucy will provide a demo, physical examples and diagrams to follow along, and guidance while you repair your own garments.
This workshop is intended to be fun and relaxing, for absolute beginners and experienced sewists alike. Come out for an enjoyable evening while learning a new skill. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.

Melke + Hija De Nada Trunk Show
We are thrilled to welcome back to the shop Melke (NYC) & Hija de Nada (Zürich) for the weekend of May 31 - June 1, 12-6 pm!
Melke designer Emma Gage's whimsical work is all about details, expert cuts, and signature handwoven and handknit textiles.
Hija de Nada is back from Switzerland with a beautiful collection of new felted wool hats and vintage reworks. In addition, designer Kari Alvarado Hoff will be offering repair, refresh, and resizing services for the special hats in your collection.

Fashion Consultant/Wardrobe Stylist Sal of The Look Authority & Production Mode are teaming up for Chicago Fashion Week on Saturday, 10/12, 12-6 pm. Sal is one of Chicago's premier commercial and personal stylists, having defined and executed wardrobe for brands like Moët & Chandon and Condé Nast. Production Mode is one of Chicago's top fashion collections, and also carries the work of select slow fashion fashion and jewelry designers from Chicago and beyond.

Multi-Harness Weave-a-long with Maggie Leininger
Learn the basics of hand weaving with us! In this afternoon workshop, Maggie Leininger will lead you through the process of how to use a four-harness loom and weave a piece of fabric that you can use to decorate your home or wardrobe. This class is ideal for beginners with absolutely no experience who want to learn how a loom works. Participants will learn to use a versatile and portable multi-harness loom, how to read a weaving pattern, and how color blending occurs in a weaving. Participants will be able to take home what they've woven during the workshop for future reference.

Reverse Drafting with The Weaving Mill
Join us for a delightful afternoon unlocking the secrets of weaving ...
Reverse drafting is the process of unraveling fabric swatches and diagramming their construction using weave draft notation on graph paper. In this workshop, Emily Winter from The Weaving Mill will lead participants through the process of unraveling swatches of woven cloth and diagramming their construction on graph paper. It’s really fun! Think of it like a material sudoku. You don’t have to be a weaver to get in on this. If you like puzzles of any kind, we think you’ll enjoy it.

Designer Kari Alvarado Hoff (Zürich/Harvard, IL) will be popping up in our shop on June 1, bringing hand-loomed knits, handwoven straw hats, and giving us a look into her process!
She'll also providing hat cleaning, blocking, and brim shaping services on-site the day of the event.
