A few months ago, our assistant designer, Rahaf, brought in some of her favorite Palestinian tatreez embroidery pieces—some of which she had designed herself, and some of which were cherished family heirlooms.
She had the idea of executing this traditional Palestinian needlework onto leather, and commissioned one of the most talented Palestinian tatreez artisans in Chicago to embroider one of our leather tops.
We happened to finish the project a few weeks ago, and soon afterwards, war broke out, and here in Illinois a young boy was murdered in a terrible hate crime. It seems right to now auction this piece to raise funds for the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund (PCRF)—a small act of love and positivity in the face of great suffering for the Palestinian people.
100% of the proceeds will go to the PCRF. The auction will run for one week. Bidding starts at $200.

This piece is made of lamb leather, hand embroidered with Palestinian tatreez cross stitching, lined with Bemberg Cupro (sustainable) rayon, and accented with an exposed brass side zip. The piece is a size S, and fits up to a 34" chest/ 30" waist.
